So excited and overwhelmed all at once for Elsie's party tomorrow. We decided to have it here at our house because of the weather. Our house is pretty tiny, so I am hoping that everything will go smoothly and most importantly be fun and relaxing for us all. I have stuck with the ladybug theme, it has been so much fun to create the invite and find other items that fit with it. We also decided to have Easter food since her birthday is actually on Easter. So we went out and bought a ham, and I will be making deviled eggs and mashed potatoes. We have a really cool cake coming tomorrow too, from our favorite place called the Happy Cake Company. It will have a ladybug that can be lifted off for Elsie to dig into. Can't wait to see what she will do!
This year has flown by, makes me happy and sad at the same time. This past week, Elsie has grown up so much. She is walking every chance she can get and is interacting with us like crazy. She is letting us know when she does or doesn't want to do something. She is very vocal, squealing like crazy around the house and anywhere we happen to be. She is getting her first teeth in on the bottom, so her tongue is always out and running along her gums. Just so many things to list...a true blessing for us all and a wonderful addition to our family, we love her so much! Such a bright spirit that bring so much laughter and happiness to each of us daily.
Happy 1st birthday my sweet baby girl, we love you Elsie girl!
